Preserve Forever uses only essential cookies — those strictly necessary to operate the service. We do not use advertising cookies, analytics trackers, social media pixels, or any third-party cookies. No consent is required under ePrivacy law for essential cookies, but we believe in full transparency about what is set and why.
Cookies we set
authjs.session-tokenEssentialDuration: 90 daysSession authentication
Stores your encrypted session after sign-in. Required to keep you logged in across page loads. Deleted when you sign out or after 90 days of inactivity.
pf_needs_consentEssentialDuration: SessionTerms acceptance gate
Set when you have accepted the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. Used to redirect new users to the consent screen before accessing the product. Cleared when consent is completed.
pf_invite_tokenEssentialDuration: 10 minutesCircle invitation flow
Temporarily holds an invitation token when you follow a circle invite link before signing in. Consumed and deleted as soon as the invitation is processed.
pf_cookie_notice_dismissedEssentialDuration: Persistent (localStorage)Cookie notice state
Stores whether you have dismissed the cookie notice. Saved to localStorage (not a cookie), so it persists across sessions without transmitting any data to our servers.
We do not load third-party scripts that set cookies. Stripe, our payment processor, may set cookies on Stripe-hosted pages (e.g. checkout) under their own cookie policy — those pages are served directly by Stripe, not by Preserve Forever.
All cookies we set are essential to the functioning of the service. Disabling them via your browser settings will prevent you from signing in or using the product. If you have questions about cookies, contact privacy@preserveforever.photos.
